Tasting Notes

This wine´s main characteristic is its red cherry colour with violet irisations. Its youth and freshness provides an elegant and preasant aroma, together with red fruits shades. Afther taste what you discover is a harmonious wine with a velvety equilibrium, a balanced and fresh acidity and with a well structured tannin. It is also a very expressive wine,fine and glyceric.

Origin: Own vineyards and vineyards controlled by Valdeorra´s area vine-growers.
Orography: Hillsides at an altitude of 400 to 600 metres.
Weather: Mediterranean-Oceanic

Grape Varieties: 100% Mencía.
Age of strains: 25 years.
Cultivation techniques: Spalier and cordon system of prunning.
Vintage: Handmade, at the best moment of ripening, and into boxes of not more than 20 kg.
Date Vintage: Late september.

Elaboration: Fermented pre soaking at 4ºC, during 4 days and then under controlled fermentation at 24ºC.
Bottles: 80.000 bottles “Black Prestige” of 0´75 l.
